Why I'm Running for Re-Election
Kirkland deserves thoughtful, pragmatic leadership. My approach has always been collaborative, solutions-focused, and community-driven. I have dedicated my career to shaping Kirkland into a thriving, balanced city, and I want to continue this work to ensure that our future benefits everyone - which is why I am seeking re-election to the Kirkland City Council. With your support, I will continue working to make Kirkland a city where residents feel heard, valued, and represented.
Serving the last 8 years as your councilmember has been an honor. I plan to continue collaborating with you for common sense solutions that enhance Kirkland’s charm and livability, while responsibly addressing housing affordability, population growth, climate change, and transportation.
For over twenty years I have volunteered in many roles including Transportation and Planning Commissioner, co-founder of Finn Hill Neighborhood Alliance, Co-Chair Kirkland Alliance of Neighborhoods, Little League coach, and Lake Washington School District volunteer. To advocate for innovative solutions and investments that improve transportation safety and mobility in Kirkland, I serve as a appointed member on the Washington State Active Transportation Safety Council and the State Transportation Improvement Board. I have made our streets safer for walking and biking, supported investments in our public safety services, preserved additional open spaces, expanded our park system, worked to build more school classrooms, and pushed for responsible land use regulations.
Kirkland is at a critical juncture, and our city needs steady, experienced leadership to ensure that growth, development, and infrastructure planning serve the best interests of all residents. With your support, I will continue to champion policies that enhance our quality of life, protect what makes Kirkland special, and keep our city moving forward in a balanced, responsible way.
Let’s build a Kirkland that works for everyone. I humbly ask for your vote in 2025 to allow me to continue doing this important work!
Gratefully,
